My name is Jimmy. First, I am a follower of God. Then I am a husband, father, friend, etc. After 17 years and counting in law enforcement, I have found my next calling: helping couples navigate the hurdles in marriage and focus on the good to come.
I am currently a master’s level student in Abilene Christian University’s Family and Marriage Therapy Program and am completing my internship under the supervision of Christy Birgen. I aim to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and work to help people navigate their marriages to safe and fulfilling harbors.
My approach to therapy comes with a faith-based foundation. After God, then I focus on structural and emotion-focused therapy. We are all part of God’s plan, and the last time I checked, failure and mistakes were never mentioned in that plan. I believe God created men and women to be unique and purposeful in our journeys to serve him. I hope to create an environment where we can explore your journey and overcome hardships that you have or are currently facing.
Being a police officer, I understand the demands of being a public servant and all the stressors life can throw at us. By experiencing them myself or dealing with those who have, I have found my calling in helping couples and marriages.
Jimmy offers individual counseling sessions at a reduced rate of $50. Couple or family counseling is $65 per session. He offers pre-marital counseling for FREE. If you would like to meet with Jimmy, just let us know in the contact form!
